Burial

Obituary: Funeral services for Stephen “Steve” Faulk, 67, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Jennings with Rev. Jerry Masters officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Jennings. Visitation will be held from 2:30-9 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of services at First Baptist Church in Jennings. Steve was born in Opelousas to the late P.C. and Eloise Faulk on Oct. 19, 1942. He loved to drive and travel. He was also a fan of Jennings High sports where he served as a janitor for many years. He never met a stranger, as he loved meeting new people. He looked forward to his trips to Wal-Mart where he served as a greeter. He will be greatly missed by all whom had the pleasure of knowing him. Left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Bonnie Trahan Faulk of Jennings; three daughters, Denise Hebert (Gerard) of Jennings, Theresa Peterson (Rodney) of Haughton and Stephanie Richard (Chris) of Knightdale, N.C.; one brother, Paul Faulk (Lois) of Elton; one sister, Linda Harvey (Tommy) of New Llano; and four beautiful grandchildren, Chris (Megan) Jones, Amanda Hebert, Colton Jones and Olivia Richard. Pallbearers will be Gerard Hebert, Rodney Peterson, Chris Jones, Colton Jones, Randy Daigle, Jody Faulk and Chris Richard. Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Faulk and Tommy Harvey.
