Audie Ruth Hoffpauir was raised by her grandmother on her mother's side. She never knew her father until he died because he knew about her all of his life and when he died, her name was in his will along with what he left her. He was a wealthy man who had other children, half brothers and sisters to Audie Ruth Hoffpauir. She also never knew them either until the day her father died. Her father left her his house, his land, etc. She in turn, gave it back to his sons. Audie Ruth Hoffpauir was born at home. Audie's mother, Odessa, married later after Audie's birth to Joe Martin. Odessa and Joe didn't have any children together. Audie Ruth Hoffpauir was the only child of Odessa Hoffpauir. We believe that Audie Ruth Hoffpauir's father was Nathan Lee Hoffpauir, a third cousin of Odessa Hoffpauir.
