Obituary: Mildred Lavergne Paschall Mannina
LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, in the Delhomme Chapel of the Flowers for Mildred Lavergne Paschall Mannina, 85, who passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, at Southwest Medical Center. Interment will take place at Lafayette Memorial Park. The Rev. Joseph Brown will conduct the funeral services. Mrs. Mannina, the daughter of the late Orista Paschall and the former Mary Ruth Parsons, was a native of Blodgett, Mo. and a resident of Lafayette. She was an avid gardener who loved her flowers in the yard. Granny was a devoted mother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her three daughters, Rosie Roy, of Lafayette, Phyllis Helton, of Lafayette, and Kaye Melancon and husband, Harold, of Lafayette; one son, Tony Mannina, of Lafayette; and one daughter-in-law, Sue Mannina; eight grandchildren, Sandy Hunt, Tricia Hoffpauir, Chance Mannina, Kalyn Johnston, Millie Sullivan, Rusty Roy Jr., Rick Roy and Ruth Moats; 12 great-grandchildren, Lacey, Lauren, Logan and Hope Johnston, Brittany and Anthony Moats, Greg Racca, Amanda Blanchard, Taylor Hunt, Ashlyn Hunt, Samuel Hoffpauir and Isabel Hoffpauir; two great-great-grandchildren, Haily and Emma Racca; one sister, Joan Scudder, of Mary Ester, Fla.; and one brother, Ricky Lee Paschall, of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Mannina Sr.; one sister, Sue Lane; and two grandsons, Trey Mannina and Johnny Melancon. Visitation will be observed from 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. Pallbearers will be Jason Sullivan, Chance Mannina, Rusty Roy, Rick Roy, Steve Johnston, and Greg Racca. Honorary pallbearers will be Harold Melancon, Kyle Hoffpauir, Sean Moats, Bart Blanchard, David Stinson and Dean Stinson.
