Janet Weber Hoffpauir, 75, of Port Arthur passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at Cypress Glen Nursing Home in Port Arthur. Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 28, 2004 at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home in Port Arthur with Deacon Jimmy Gard officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Friday with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Born on February 20, 1929 in Port Arthur, Texas to her parents Mayo Joseph Weber and Armide F. Weber, Mrs. Hoffpauir lived in Port Arthur most of her life. She was a housewife, a retired school teacher at Immaculate Conception Catholic School in Groves and a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Port Arthur. She graduated from L.S.U. in 1949 were she received her bachelor's degree. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Henderson of Port Neches; grandson, Ty William Henderson of Port Neches. Mrs. Hoffpauir was preceded in death by her husband Winan D. Hoffpauir who passed away in 1994. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
