Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2004, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Truman Stagg officiating, for Norris Spell, 64, of Crowley, who died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2004, in Crowley’s American Legion Hospital. Burial was in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. He is survived by one sister, Dorothy McClelland, Lake Charles, one brother, William Spell, Hots Springs, Ark.; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Spell was preceded in death by his parents, Lennix and Mattie Duhon Spell; five sisters, Helen Foreman, Gladys Broussard, Dannie Stover, Pearly Hargrave, and Buelah Sopota; and one brother, Alton Spell.
