LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2004, at a Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Doris B. Hoffpauir, 71, the former Doris Blanchard, who died at 1:35 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2004, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Melancon, assoc. pastor of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Scott, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the services. Mrs. Hoffpauir was a native and lifelong resident of Scott. Survivors include her husband, Leroy Hoffpauir, of Scott; three daughters, Katherine Hoffpauir, Donna Hoffpauir and Christina Hoffpauir, all of Scott; six sons, Richard M. Hoffpauir, J.L. Hoffpauir and his wife, Karen, Michael Hoffpauir, Darryl Hoffpauir and Jean Hoffpauir, all of Scott, and Jase Hoffpauir and his wife, Tina, of Broussard; three grandchildren, Kimberly Hoffpauir and April Rizzuto and her husband, Andrew, all of Scott, and Mia Hoffpauir, of Broussard; two step-great-grandchildren, Kevin and Lindsey James; and one brother, Joseph Blanchard, of Duson. She was preceded in death by one son, Craig Hoffpauir; one daughter, Ida Louise Hoffpauir; her parents, Frank and Louise Porrier Blanchard; and two brothers, Walter and John W. Blanchard. A rosary was prayed at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8 a.m. today until time of services. Pallbearers will be her six sons, Richard, J.L., Michael, Darryl, Jean and Jase Hoffpauir. Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home, Inc. of Lafayette, (337) 234-2311.
