Burial
Obituary: Carlton was born on August 20, 1949 in Houston, TX to Carl and Voletta Hoffpauir. Carlton proudly served in the U. S. Navy from September of 1969 until being honorably discharged in September of 1973 having served in China Lake, CA. He enjoyed yard work, working on automobiles, and his dog Tobie. Carlton also loved being around family and friends. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 29 years Janet Hoffpauir of Lake Charles, LA; one sister, Sharon Ferguson and husband Ben of Lumberton, TX; one brother, Patrick Lynn Hoffpauir and wife Linda of College Station, TX; five sisters in law, Cindy Dewees and husband David, Dee Dee Crow and husband Mark, Nancy Johnice and husband Merlin, Katie Wing and husband Mike, and Angie Herr; numerous nieces and nephews; and loving mother in law, Lorene Herr. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl Hoffpauir and wife Voletta; one brother in law, John Herr; and father in law, John Herr Sr. A time of fellowship will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Johnson Funeral Home. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.Endnotes
