Bennett Semmie Hoffpauir

Hoffpauir, 81, of Rocky Mount died last September 28, in the Bossier City General Hospital, following a lengthy illness. He was a native of Arcadia [sic] Parish. Hoffpauir was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Hoffpauir, well known residents of the Rocky Mount Community. He was a retired farmer. Survivors are his widow, the former Lida Wilson of Rocky Mount; one sister, Mrs. I. L. Thomas of Basking Ridge, N. J.; two nieces and two nephews. Funeral services were held the following day at 3 p.m. in the Rocky Mount Presbyterian Church of which he was a member, Rev. Lannie Parnell officiating. Burial was in the Rocky Mount Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Mortuary. Pallbearers were Gordon McCall, James McCall, I. W. Whittington, Jr., Lee Voss, David Simmons and DuBois Simmons.
