Calvin Woodrow Morgan, 78, of Nederland passed away Friday, January 07, 2005 at his residence in Nederland. Born on February 9, 1926 in Crowley, Louisiana, to his proud parents Francis Morgan and Ethel Hoffpauir Morgan, Calvin moved to Nederland in 1958 until January 7, 2005 when he went to be with the Lord in his home, surrounded by loved ones. He was retired from Singer Sewing Machine, Co. and retired from Southern Union Gas in Port Arthur. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a member of the Grace Nazarene Church in Nederland. Survivors include his wife Earline Morgan of Nederland; daughter, Kimberly Smith and her husband Mark of Fort Worth; daughter-in-law, Leonor Morgan, two step-sons, Chuck and Jimmy Faulk; grandchildren, Logan, Gavin, Brandon and Emily Smith, Cesar, Omar and Nicki Guerrero, Adrianne and Christopher Faulk, brother, Buster Morgan and his wife Ruby; sisters, Arlene Shaffer, Deryl Rodgers and Evelyn Spell and her husband Roland. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Morgan. A Celebration of life in honor of Calvin Woodrow Morgan will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, January 10, 2005 at Pat A. Riley Funeral Home in Nederland. Burial will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Monday at Indian Bayou United Methodist Church Cemetery in Indian Bayou, Louisiana. A gathering of friends and family will take place from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
