ABBEVILLE - Funeral services for Leona C. Ardoin, 94, who died Tuesday, March 2, 2004, will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2004, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery. The Rev. Steve LeBlanc will officiate the services. Survivors include her sons, M. J. Ardoin Jr., of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Robert James Ardoin, of New Orleans; four daughters, Natalie A. Primeaux, Marlene A. Wall, Toni Ardoin and Verna Lee Ardoin, all of Abbeville; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, M.J. "Doc" Ardoin; her father, Norbert Caillouet; her mother, Sinitaire Caillouet; her brothers, Herman, Bennett and Eugene Caillouet; and her sisters, Jeanne Bayer, Mable Hoffpauir, Ruth Hebert, Lena Guidry, Dorothy Bier, Pauline Simon and Armalisa Oliver. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. today and to continue from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. today. Pallbearers will be Larry Primeaux, Mark Primeaux, Willis Melancon, Walter Primeaux, James Henderson, Larry Guidry and James Henderson.
