Burial

Obituary: Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Percy Hoffpauir, Sr., the former Una Mae Bienvenue, age 77, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday March 31, 2009 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia with Father Donovan Labbe officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that visiting hours be held at David Funeral Home in New Iberia beginning at 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2009 with a recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. followed by V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary Ritual. Visitation will resume Tuesday, March 31, 2009 from 8 a.m. until the time of service. A native of Erath and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Hoffpauir died on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 11 p.m. in a New Iberia hospital. She was a member of V.F.W. Ladies Auxillary Post 1982 of New Iberia and she loved to play Bingo and Pokeno. She is survived by her sons, Percy Hoffpauir, Jr. and his wife Monette, Kenneth W. Hoffpauir, Gilbert L. Hoffpauir and his wife Susan all of New Iberia and Donald "Huff" R. Hoffpauir and his wife Vinetta of Loreauville; her daughters, Patricia Oubre and her husband Dennis of Waco, TX, Priscilla Gary and her husband David, Tessie Delahoussaye and her husband Wayne "Pat" and Christy Magar and her husband Robert all of New Iberia; her brother, Wiltz Bienvenue of St. Martinville and her sister, Willa Romero of New Iberia. She was also survived by 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Hoffpauir, Sr.; her parents, Gilbert and Nolice Romero Bienvenue; her daughter, Melissa L. Hoffopauir; her brother, Willis Bienvenue; her sisters, Hazel Guilbeau, Dorothy Martin and Shirley Dupuy; her grandson, Edward Daniel Oubre and her granddaughter, Marcy Hoffpauir. Pallbearers will be Lance and Benjamin Hoffpauir, Ryan Derouen, Steven Oubre, Raymond Magar, Craig Delahoussaye, Blake Gary and Rickey Boudreaux. Honorary pallbearers will be Casey Oubre, Joshua, Jacob and Dusty Hoffpauir, Jayden and Alexander Magar.
