Junius Hoffpauir

LYDIA - Services for Junius "Papa Huff" Hoffpauir, 73, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at St Nicholas Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Fabre officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 1982. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
Visitation will be today from 3-10 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary at Evangeline Funeral Home, which will reopen Saturday from 8 a.m. until the time of services.
A native of Vermilion Parish and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Hoffpauir died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, at his residence.
Mr. Hoffpauir was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW Post 1982, KC Council 1208, American Legion Post and Winter Oilmen's League. "Papa Huff" loved bowling, baseball and gatherings with family and friends. He was most proud of his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley Landry Hoffpauir of New Iberia; two sons, Julian "Tiger" Hoffpauir, and his wife, Linda, and Dwayne Hoffpauir, and his wife, Karen, all of New Iberia; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Rhonda) H. Guillotte of Coteau, and Mrs. Brent (Pamela) H. Culotta of Milton; nine grandchildren, Heather and Lance Guillotte, Holly, Kyle and Kenzie Hoffpauir, Courtney and Lanie Hoffpauir, Brannon Breaux and Kaitlyn Culotta; two
step-grandchildren, Brad and Brady Culotta; one great-grandchild, Rylee Menard; two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Lopez of Lydia, and Ella Boudreaux of New Iberia; two brothers-in-law, Bernice "Coon" Segura and John Landry; and two sisters-in-law, Una Mae Hoffpauir and Dot Fanning.
Mr. Hoffpauir was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Coralee Delahoussaye Hoffpauir; three brothers, Joseph, Percy and Aristile Hoffpauir; and his sisters, Helen Girouard, Mary Segura, Eurine Bouillion, and Olita and Alita Hoffpauir.
Pallbearers will be Julian "Tiger" Hoffpauir, Dwayne and Kyle Hoffpauir, Donald and Lance Guillotte, Brent Culotta and Brannon Breaux.
Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers-in-law, Ray Lopez and John Landry; his godchildren, Percy Hoffpauir, Roddy Boudreaux, Derrell Lopez and Barry Bouillion; his nephews, Ricky and Ronnie Boudreaux, and Kenny, Gilbert and Donald Hoffpauir, and his family of friends, Rolland Huval, Gerald Viator, Relis, Wayne and Ross LeBlanc, Mackie Boudreaux, Troy McAnnaly, Derral and Cliff Meyers, Chris Segura, Bernie Bertlesman, Gayle Hebert, Paul Breaux, Bozo Rosenbury, Larry Patin, Roy and Paul Patout, David Perez, George Miller, Mark and Mitchell Leleux, Marshall Dartez, Paul Workman, Adrian Guillotte, Cyrus Touchet, Juan, Alex, Wolf, Bitsy, L.J.
