Bonnie Dixon Johnson, 87, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, in a local hospital. She was a native of Selma, Ala., and had lived in Lake Charles since 1946. She was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a member of the church's Joy group. Survivors include two daughters, Jane Cureton and Linda Rossitto, both of Lake Charles; one son, the Rev. Robert Stith of South Lake, Texas; one sister, Bobbie Hewatt of Atlanta, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Robert Stith of Grapevine, Texas, Byron, Drew, Dohn and Hope Hoffpauir and Blair and Blake Cureton, all of Lake Charles; 13 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 23, in Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Stith will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is from 8 a.m.
