Benager Spell

(Bet 1765 and 1784 - Bet 1840 and 1850)

Family tradition has it that Benager Spell had a brother named Benjamin who came to Louisiana with him from Mississippi. This brother never married, according to family lore.

Mrs. C. D. Spell wrote that Benager lived in South Carolina and moved to Mississippi before going to Indian Bayou, Vermilion Parish, La.

Bill Gee states: Susan was the oldest, followed by Sterling and Lucinda was the youngest child of Benager Spell.
