Obituary: Funeral services for Irving G. Aucoin, 72, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 28, in Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Landry will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery.Visitation is 2_10 p.m. Tuesday, with a rosary at 7 p.m.; and from 8 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Aucoin died at 5:35 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2000, in a local hospital.A native of Sulphur, he had lived in Lake Charles for 49 years. He was a welder with Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 106. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in World War II. He was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church.Survivors include his wife, Ruby Courts Aucoin of Lake Charles; one daughter, Esther Jane Aucoin of Lake Charles; three stepsons, Charles Courts of Lake Charles, Kenneth Courts of Dallas and Billy Jean Courts of Bossier City; one stepdaughter, Cora Aguillard of Dallas; one brother, Arsene Joseph Aucoin of Bridge City, Texas; two sisters, Victoria Gibson and Joyce Feltman, both of Groves, Texas; and seven stepgrandchildren.
