Obituary: CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at Northside Assembly of God Church in Crowley for Arnette B. Morgan, 84, who died Saturday, April 28, 2007, at American Legion Hospital in Crowley. Visiting hours will be from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. Monday, and again from 8 a.m. until services Tuesday. Mr. Morgan was a carpenter by trade, but his life revolved around his family and his church. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and a friend to everyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Hanks "BB" Morgan; two daughters, Belinda Guidry and her husband, Robert "Rob", of Lafayette and Gwen Stutes and her husband William "Billy" of League City, Texas; two sons, Daniel Morgan and his wife, Becky, and Tim Morgan and his wife, Rachelle, all of Crowley; one sister, Iva Hoffpauir and her husband, Norris, of Lake Charles, and five grandchildren, David Morgan and his wife, Kristie, Danielle Fontenot and her husband, Patrick, and Aaron, Madeline "Maddie", and Benjamin Morgan, all of Crowley. Mr. Morgan was preceded in death by his parents, Alcie and Martha Spell Morgan; three brothers, Winfred, Dudley, and Oscar Morgan; and a sister, Lou Broussard. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Northside Assembly of God Church in Crowley, 809 E. Northern Ave., Crowley, LA 70526, or Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care, 522 N. Main St., Jennings, LA 70546. They would also like to thank Dr Paul Stringfellow, the staff of Crowley American Legion Hospital, Louisiana Hospice and all of their family and friends for their love and support during his brief illness.
