GUEYDAN : Funeral services for Eve Hanks, 85, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, from St. Peter Catholic Church.
The Rev. Grady Estilette will officiate. Burial will be in Gueydan Cemetery under the direction of Matthews and Son Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 8:30 a.m. today, with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Mrs. Hanks died at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2001, in LeBleu Settlement. A native of Gueydan, she was a resident of Lake Charles.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Hanks of Lake Charles; one son, L.J. Hanks of Moss Bluff; two daughters, Mrs. Glen (Lorraine) Ortego of LeBleu Settlement and Alberta Guillory of Iskenderun, Turkey; three sisters, Pearl Plaisance and Clalie dePerrodil, both of Gueydan, and Ivy Vincent of Sulphur; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
