Graveside services for Asa I. "Buddy" Hoffpauir Jr., 57, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, in Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Danny Gleason will officiate. Visitation is 4-9 p.m. today in the funeral home. Mr. Hoffpauir died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002, in his residence. He was a native of Walla Walla, Wash., and lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He graduated from Sam Houston High School and attended McNeese State University. He worked as an operator at Conoco and Vista. Survivors include one son, Matthew David Hoffpauir of Spring, Texas; one daughter, Melissa Hoffpauir Walkoviak of Anderson, Texas; two sisters, Marcia Tolman of New Braunfels, Texas, and Katherine Hoffpauir Jewell of Lake Charles; his mother, Marcella Fatheree Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; and four grandchildren.
