Burial
Obituary: SHREVEPORT,LA-Funeral services for Irene A. Milner, 67, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Ronney Joe Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home. Mrs. Milner was born September 16, 1944 in Port Arthur, TX; and entered into rest June 15, 2012 in Shreveport, LA. She worked three jobs, went to school to become a nurse while taking care of three children. During this time she made sure all three were in sports and activities. She was like Mother Teresa. She worked at several of the hospitals in Shreveport/Bossier during her tenure. She took care of many patients in and out of her home for over 30 years. She wasn't happy unless she was taking care of people. Irene never took any short cuts…she was always very thorough in what she did. Irene loved to be around her family, loved to eat crawfish with her best friends Nadine and Sandie, loved animals, loved to hunt and do crafts of all sorts. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Daniel E. Milner, her brother Earl Aucoin, and her sister, Dorothy Audas. Survivors include her three children, Allen B. Davis and wife Jennifer of Austin, TX; Joseph W. Davis of Las Vegas, NV; and Lanette Carnes of Lampasas, TX; sister, Jean Eckles of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren, Christopher Davis and wife Jennifer, Joshua Davis, Rebecca Davis Ranniger, Matthew Davis, Cody Davis, Alec Carnes, Dustin Davis, Miranda Davis, Travis Davis, Michael Davis; and two great-grandchildren, Alora Davis and Emory Ranniger. Pallbearers will be Allen Davis, Joseph Davis, Christopher Davis, Joshua Davis, Matthew Davis, and Steven Jurls.
