Obituary: James Leonidas "J.L." Hinckley, Sr., age 92 of Vick, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, December 09, 2018. Born Friday, October 01, 1926 in Jena, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents, Florence Smith Hinckley and James Cotton Hinckley; sister, Olga DeTogne; and wife, Bobbie McNeal Hinckley. Mr. Hinckley served his country in the U.S Army in the Pacific Theater and the Occupation of Japan during World War II. Those left to cherish his memory include his son, James L. Hinckley, Jr., Dodson, LA; daughter, Janice Hinckley Stroud, Monroe, LA; son, Justin C. Hinckley, Ruston, LA; granddaughter, Jennifer Hinckley Vidrine, and great grandchildren, Samuel, Sylvia and Marcie Vidrine, Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 with Rev. Bill Strawbridge officiating at Vick Baptist Cemetery in Vick, LA under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Winn Community Food Pantry, 302 S. Bevill St., Winnfield, LA 71483.
