Death
Obituary: Sgt. First Class Terry Hoffpauir, Jr., 35, of Orange died June 30, 2006, in Salina, Kansas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2006, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Officiating will be Bishop Leon Anderson of New Testament Apostolic Holiness Church in Longville, LA with Reverend Larry Doucet assisting. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with Military Rites. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. Friday and will be continuous until service time. Terry was born on November 13, 1970 in Orange, Texas to Terry Hoffpauir, Sr. and Elizabeth Vercher Parker. He was raised in Westlake, Louisiana by Reverend Charles, Sr. and Elizabeth Parker. He was a graduate of Westlake High School. He served 17 ½ years in the U.S. Army and was currently an E-7 Platoon Sgt. He was stationed in Korea and Hawaii. He served in the Gulf War and Iraq and received many service awards and decorations throughout his time in the service. He was a loving father, husband, son and brother. He was generous, kind and loved life, music and especially his family. He will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dan and Vivian Hoffpauir of Orangefield. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Hoffpauir; fathers, Terry Hoffpauir, Sr. and Reverend Charles Parker, Sr.; mother, Elizabeth Vercher Parker; grandparents, Reverend Tunney, Sr. and Beatrice Vercher of Orange and Willard and Ethel Parker of Topsy, LA.; daughters, Kayla Hoffpauir Johnson and husband Grant of Lake Charles, LA, Megan Hoffpauir, Priscilla Hoffpauir, Madison Greene, Reagan Greene and Jetta Greene all of Salina, KS; sons, Terry W. Hoffpauir, III of Manhatten, KS, Jackson Greene and Drew Shamburg of Salina, KS. Terry is also survived by his sisters, Rebecca Retherford and husband Mike of Mauriceville, Suella Cagle of Orange and Jennifer Evans and husband Royce of Carthage; and brothers, Charles Parker, Jr. and wife Wendy of Carthage and Hershel Hoffpauir of Orange.(Claybar Funeral Home on-line obituaries)Endnotes
