Obituary: Lena Waldrop passed away on Monday, October 8, 2012 in Baytown,Texas. She was born on July 8, 1931 to her late parents J.W. “Bill” and Willie Mae Hoffpauir in LaPorte. She grew up in Baytown and graduated from Robert E.Lee High School.On September 21, 1951, she married the love of her life, Utah Waldrop. Together they raised three children and were partners in Sum TexPackage Stores for over 35 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Utah Waldrop, son, Bruce Waldrop, son-in-law, Sonny Brumfield, Brothers Earl and Luke Hoffpauir, and sister Elenor Spencer. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Brumfield of Beach City; her son, Paul Waldrop of Baytown; grandchildren, Chad Brumfield of Baytown, Buckie and wife Chambra Brumfield of Lago Vista, Texas and Katie Brumfield of Beach City; great-grandchildren, Eric Brown and Claire Brumfield of Lago Vista, Texas and Kylie Brumfield of Beach City, Texas, sisters, Irene Ewell of Crosby and Kathryn Farrell of Mont Belvieu, and numerous nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held Friday, October 12, 2012 at Memory Gardens in Baytown.
