CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at St.Michael Catholic Church for Anna C. Habetz, 92, who died at 2:39 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, in Bayou Village Nursing Home.
Burial will be in St. Leo IV Catholic Church Cemetery in Roberts Cove. The Rev. Francis Bourgeois will officiate at graveside services.
The Rev. Louis Richard will recite a rosary at 7:30 p.m. today in Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home.
Officiating for the services as presider, Monsignor Charles Dubois; homilist, Monsignor Charles Mallet; readers of scripture, the Rev. Louis Richard and Monsignor Paul Metrejean. Presentation
of gifts, daughters, Agnes Jones, JoAnn Ledoux, Clementine Kirsch. Her 38 grandchilren brought forward flowers. Altar server will be Eric Ledoux, grandson.
Visitation will be at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 7:30 a.m. to time of services Monday.
She is survived by five sons, Lawrence and wife, Marie of Roberts Cove, Leonard and wife Deanna, Robert and wife Pat of Crowley, Bernard and Patricia of Iowa, Albert and wife Brenda of Lafayette; three daughters, Clementine Kirsch and husband Huey, Agnes Jones and husband Michael of Crowley; and JoAnn Ledoux and husband Frederick of Iota.
She is also survived by two brothers, William J. and Norbet Cramer of Crowley; two sisters, Lucy Zaunbrecher and Helen Cramer of Mowata. She was the grandmother of 38 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren - two deceased and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Anna Vondenstein Cramer of Mowata; her husband, H. Joseph Habetz of Crowley; her daughter, Bernadine Habetz; her brothers, John H. Cramer and Bernard Cramer; sisters Josephine Zaunbrecher, Leona Habetz and Sister Mary Lucie Cramer, CDP.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and the St. Michael Ladies Altar Society.
Mrs. Habetz is remembered for her beautiful crochet pieces, which she crocheted and gave to the Catholic schools and churches for fund-raising events.
Pallbearers will be Brian Lawrence Habetz, Ronald Leonard Habetz, Patrick Joseph Kirsch, Christopher Joseph Habetz, Chad Joseph Habetz, Jude Joseph Ledoux, Brady Michael Jones, grandsons; and James Winston, grandson-in-law.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hospice of your choice, Notre Dame High School, St. Michael School or the Catholic school of choice. Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home in Crowley is in charge of arrangements.
