MOSS BLUFF - Martha Elizabeth Morgan Hoffpauir, 78, died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, in a local hospital. She was a native of Crowley and had lived in Lake Charles since 1954. She attended Gulf Park College in Gulfport, Miss., and was a former member of the Junior League of Lake Charles, the Lake Charles Garden Club and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was Methodist. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Hoffpauir of Moss Bluff; one daughter, Mrs. Roger (Elizabeth Duane) Logan of Moss Bluff; one son, Earl J. Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; one sister, Marilyn Chappell of El Campo, Texas; five grandchildren, Michelle Keller of Destrehan, Douglas Logan and Christel Guins of Moss Bluff, and Garrett Hoffpauir and Drake Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; five great-grandchildren, Courtney Logan and Annabelle Guins of Moss Bluff and Rhys, Evan and Lianne Keller of Destrehan. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald David Hoffpauir. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, in Ebenezer Cemetery in Crowley under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Danny Gleason will officiate. Visitation is 4-6 p.m. today in the funeral home. (Lake Charles American Press, Jan 3, 2003)
