Mrs. Minnette Lorraine "Mickey" Cooper, 66, of Alvin, died Saturday, September 25, 1999 in Bayshore Medical Center, Pasadena, Texas.
Mrs. Cooper was born June 17, 1933 in Crowley, Louisiana and had been an Alvin resident since 1962. She graduated from S.L.I. in Lafayette, La. With a B. A. in Music Education in 1955. She taught music in the Dickinson Schools for a year and also taught private lessons in Alvin from 1967 - 1998. Mrs Cooper married George E. Cooper in Crowley, La. August 11, 1956. She was a member of Alvin Bible Church. Survivors: husband, George E. Cooper, Alvin, Sons: Mark E. Cooper & wife Dottie, Alvin; Benjamin R. Cooper & wife Laura, Ft. Worth; brother: Wayne Hoffpauir & wife Martha, Lake Charles, La., grandchildren: Rusty Cooper, Ft. Worth; Jessamyn Cooper, Alvin; Calli D. Cooper, Ft. Worth and Allie Jean Cooper, Alvin, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 27, 1999 at Oak Park Funeral Home. Funeral Services were held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, September 28, 1999 from Oak Park Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnny Mitchell officiating. Interment was in City of Alvin Oak Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Timothy Klein; Jerry Maliszewski; Rusty Cooper; Tony Flores; Murray Billingsley; and Mark Tacquard.
If friends so desire, family suggests memorials be made to the charity of their choice. Serving the family, Oak Park Funeral Home, Alvin, Texas.
