Fred Byron Hoffpauir, 46, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2003, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was a graduate of Lake Charles High School, where he was an all-state baseball player. He attended McNeese State University and was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a car salesman. Survivors include his mother, Linda Stith Rossitto of Lake Charles; one son, Brock Hoffpauir of Shreveport; one daughter, McKenzie Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; one sister, Hope McElveen of Lake Charles; two brothers, Drew and Dohn Hoffpauir, both of Lake Charles; and nine loving nieces and nephews. His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, in Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Stith will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-10 p.m. today.
