Obituary: Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12,2016 at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home of Crowley for Velma Hoffpauir LeBlanc, 65, who died May 10, 2016 at Acadia General Hospital in Crowley, LA. Deacon Tom Sommers will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until the time of services. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Allen LeBlanc, Sr. of Estherwood; one daughter, Kelly Lee LeBlanc Estherwood; one son, Kevin LeBlanc and his wife, Angelle of Estherwood; two sisters, Norma Simon of Sulphur, and Betty Doucet of Iota; one brother, Herman Hoffpauir of Crowley; seven grandchildren, Jacob Duhon, Callie Duhon, Harley LeBlanc, Ethan Hanks, Alexis Hanks, Allena LeBlanc, and Austun Hanks; and one daughter-in-law, Emily Doucet Mire of Estherwood. Mrs. LeBlanc is preceded in death by one son, Allen LeBlanc, Jr.; and her parents, Belgium and Lovenia Thibodeaux Hoffpauir.
