Death
Obituary: CROWLEY - Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at St. Michael Catholic Church, for Harrell "Byron" Hoffpauir, Sr., 80, who died Monday, Dec. 31, 2007, at his residence in Crowley. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Schexnayder will be officiating for the services. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Monceaux Hoffpauir; three sons, Ronnie Haaf and his wife, Mary, of Meridian, MS, Myron Clark Hoffpauir and his wife, Hope, of Roberts Cove, and Harrell Hoffpauir, Jr. and his wife, Yvette, of Roberts Cove; one daughter, Lisa Hay and her husband, Murray, of Ringgold; two sisters, Flora Belle Breaux, of Egan, and Mabel LeJeune, of Egan; one brother, Jerry Hoffpauir, of Crowley; twelve grandchildren, Joshua Hoffpauir, Zachary Hoffpauir, Seth Hay, Nicholas Hoffpauir, Jacob Hay, Sam Hoffpauir, John Hoffpauir, Luke Hoffpauir, Gus Hoffpauir, Lori Donald, Anne Pilgrim, and Joseph Haaf; and eight great grandchildren, Hunter Hoffpauir, Hannah Pilgrim, Wes Pilgrim, Brie Ann Pilgrim, Hayden Pilgrim, Blake Donald, Ivey Claire Donald, and Chance Donald. Harrell is preceded in death by his parents, William and Olivia Abshire Hoffpauir; three brothers, Melvin, David and Wilton; and two sisters, Arlese, and Arley. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The family is requesting that visiting hours be held from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday and continue from 8 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
