Harold Wayland Welch

LAKE ARTHUR -- Funeral services for Wayland Welch, 84, will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, in First United Methodist Church. The Revs. Sue Pugh and Glynn Foreman will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. Wednesday in the church.
Mr. Welch died at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, 1999, in the Jennings hospital. A native of Cameron, he was a resident of Lake Arthur most of his life. He graduated from Lake Arthur High School in 1934. He was a cattleman and retired from the Lacassine Co. of Lake Charles after 33 years. He was a member of the Louisiana Cattleman's Association, First United Methodist Church and was a past president of the Methodist Men's Club.
Survivors include his wife, Ouida Hoffpauir Welch of Lake Arthur; two daughters, Karen Profumo of New Orleans and Maryanne Orgeron of Vera Cruz, Mexico; one son, Harold Wayland Welch of Lake Arthur; one brother, Curtis Welch of
