Death
Obituary: Robert “Roy” Hoffpauir, Jr., 95, lifelong resident of Orange passed away Thursday, September 07, 2006 at his home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Officiating will be Reverend Danny Gillum. Interment will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange. Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Mr. Hoffpauir was born April 29, 1911 in Crowley, LA to Robert Roy and Naomi Hoffpauir. He was a Painter Supervisor for U.S. Steel and was a member of McDonald Baptist Church. “Roy” was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Jewel Hoffpauir. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Juanita Hoffpauir of Orange; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Bobbie Jean Hoffpauir of Montgomery; numerous nieces and nephews, Krissy Johnson of Brenham, TX, Dana and Clint Steel of Brandon Mississippi, Brennan Dobbs, Clayton Johnson, Sharon and Bruce Johnson of Bridge City and Delores Frenzel of Houston; grandchildren, Dianne and Ben Leal and Jimmy and Patti Hoffpauir both of Montgomery; great granddaughters, Kathy Leal and Nicole Hoffpauir. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Yeavon Frenzel. Serving as pallbearers will be Charlie Burnaman, Clayton Johnson, Brennan Dobbs, Bill Ed Dixon, Wickie Carter and Bruce Johnson.
