Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. John Locascio officiating, for Rose Ella Bertrand Sarver, 84, of Rayne. Ms. Sarver died at 4 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, in Lafayette General Medical Center. Burial was in the Indian Bayou Methodist Church. Visitation was from 1 to 10 p.m.Sunday, Dec. 26, and from 8 a.m.until time of services on Dec. 27. She is survived by two sons, Larry Lee Sarver, Crowley, and Roger Dale Sarver, Indian Bayou; two daughters, Judy Sarver and Melba Thibodeaux, both of Rayne; 11 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Ms. Sarver was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Sarver; one daughter, Shelby Jean Sarver; her parents, Velia Bertrand and Ida Lee Sarver; and 10 siblings.
