Burial
Obituary: Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 24, 2011 at Indian Bayou United Methodist Church for Jimmy Dale Foreman, 83, who passed away on January 19, 2011 at his residence. Reverend Larry Maxwell, Pastor of Indian Bayou Methodist Church (Hwy. 700), will conduct the funeral services. Internment will take place in Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery. Mr. Foreman, a resident of Lafayette, LA, was the son of the late Clarence Foreman of Vermilion Parish,Louisiana and the former Jane Meaux of Andrew, Louisiana. He served in the United States Army and retired as a teacher from Gulf Coast Regional Technical Institute. He is survived by wife of 60 years ,D'Ella Rita Foreman nee Comeaux, of Lafayette; six daughters, Jane Johnson and husband, Dave of Lafayette, Miriam Ellis and husband, Richard of Lafayette, Eileen Bonner and husband, Frank of Rockport, TX, Rita McCrary and husband, Doug of Garland, TX, Annette Judge and husband, Robert of Lafayette, and Yvette Kleinpeter and husband, David of Lafayette; two sons, Dr. Michael Foreman and wife, Sara of Lafayette and Jimmy Foreman Jr. of LaQuey, MO; 27 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irene Foreman of Lafayette; two brothers, Acy Foreman of Crowley, and Cleve Foreman and wife, Gail of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Rose Foreman, and Alice Spell; one brother, Noah Foreman. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home of Lafayette on Sunday from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and will continue on Monday from 9:00 am until service time. Memorial contributions may be made in the name of Mr. Foreman to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Ste. 200, Lafayette, LA, 70506. Pallbearers will be David Beadle, Michael T. Foreman, Kevin Ellis, Brian Bentley, Zach Judge, Robert Bentley,Matthew Foreman and Eric Ellis. Honorary Pallbearers will be D.J. Kleinpeter and John Judge.
