Anders Breaux

LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1998, at a Mass of Christian Burial in the Martin & Castille Funeral Home Chapel for Anders Breaux, 84, of New Orleans, who died at 6:03 a.m. Monday, May 11, 1998, at his residence.
Interment will be in the Indian Bayou Methodist Cemetery.
The Rev. Kenneth DeRouen, rector of Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, will be the celebrant of the funeral Mass and will continue the services. Organist, Jodi Bollich, will sing for the services, "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art," "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" and "Here I Am, Lord."
Survivors include his wife, Florabel Breaux of New Orleans; one sister, Mrs. J.K. (Antonia) White of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mrs. E.J. (Eusibe) Prejean and Mrs. Charles (Eula) Guidry; and two brothers, Ewel Breaux and Moise Breaux.
A native of Lafayette, Mr. Breaux was a resident of New Orleans since 1945. He was the son of the late Marcena Breaux and the former Elbe Castille, both natives of Arnaudville.
Mr. Breaux was a veteran of military service having served in the United States Army during World War II.
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Breaux was employed by Morgan & Lindsey Variety Store as a manager for 25 years.
He was a member of the St. Pius X. Catholic Community in New Orleans where he was a member of the Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Holiday Club and Alhambra Club for a number of years.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of the services.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Martin & Castille Funeral Home Inc. of Lafayette.
