Obituary: James Frank Triplett, 95, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 in a local care center. A native of Houston, Texas, Frank had lived in Lake Charles since childhood. He was a veteran serving his country in WWII and was recently honored as a Hometown Patriot for his war efforts. Frank was a Deacon Emeritus of Emmanuel Baptist Church and also served as Sunday School Superintendent a number of years. Frank, along with his brother, was owner and operator of Triplett Brothers Supermarket for 42 years. He is survived by his twin brother William Henry Triplett and his wife Margery of Lake Charles; nieces and nephews Dora McCall of Lake Charles, Carl Smith of Oklahoma, Gwen Graham of Tennessee and Ben Smith of Texas; numerous great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Albert Wesley Triplett and Dora Rich Triplett; wife Audrey Hoffpauir Triplett and sister Edith Smith. His funeral will be at 2:30 pm, Sunday, April 18, 2010 in Johnson Funeral Home. Bro. Francis LaRocque will officiate with special music by Rev. Janet Deitiker. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 1:30 until 2:30 pm.
