Obituary: Celebration of Life service for Margery Ruth Triplett, 94, a resident of Lake Charles will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 8, 2017, at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1320 Country Club Road, Lake Charles, LA. The Rev.John Hoffpauir will officiate the service. Margery Triplett slipped away into her Savior's arms on Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at her residence with her family around her. She was born in Ebenezer, LA, on September 11, 1922, the daughter of Travis B. Hoffpauir and Ruth Dailey Hoffpauir. She was united in marriage to William Henry Triplett on June 10, 1962, in Lake Charles, LA. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2010. They were married for 48 years. Margery attended LaGrange High School and later graduated from Sowela Technical College. She worked at Kress's, Mullers, and in the Credit Department for Sears & Roebuck for 22 years. Her husband owned the Triplett Brother's Grocery Store with his twin brother Frank Triplett for 42 years. She was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene, where she was a Sunday School teacher for numerous generations. She also was an avid member of local AARP groups, the treasurer for the LaGrange Lunch Bunch, and was a member of the VIC group of Lake Charles. She is survived by her daughter, Dora R. McCall and her husband James McCall of Moss Bluff; her grandson, Van J. Miller and his wife Rachael of Lake Charles; her granddaughter, Bahna D. Miller of Moss Bluff; her great-grandson, Weston LeJeune; her step-granddaughter Dene' Culton and husband Stephen; her step-grandson, Chris McCall and wife Brandi, her step-great-grandsons, Maddox Culton and Arys McCall; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brother, Leo Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; her sister, Nettie Hoffpauir of Lake Charles; and her brother, Ivy Hoffpauir of Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father, Travis B. Hoffpauir and her mother, Ruth Dailey Hoffpauir. Also preceded in death by two brothers,Austin Hoffpauir and the Rev. Larry Hoffpauir. Margery loved to travel and had been to all 50 states and numerous countries in Europe. She had a zest for life and was not afraid to try new things. Margery loved her family dearly and was always looking for ways to help them. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.Endnotes
