SULPHUR - Mary Louise Belanger, 63, died at 9:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, in her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Sulphur. She was a 1958 graduate of Sulphur High School. Survivors include nine children, Glynda Amos, Dana Hines, wife of Michael E. Hines, Nell Malone, wife of Clifford R. Malone, Kenneth Belanger, husband of Alonda Peloquin Belanger, Karen Istre, wife of Albert D. Istre, Alvin "Peanut" Belanger, John Belanger, Lucia "Sissie" Belanger and James Belanger, all residents of Sulphur; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Joseph Belanger, and parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Aaron Hoffpauir. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.mem.com. Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Buddy Freeman will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home, 2051 E. Napoleon. Visitation hours will be at the funeral home today, Aug. 18, from 5-10 p.m. and on Tuesday, Aug. 19, from 8 a.m. until service time. (LCAP 18 Aug 2003)
