Extract from Protestant Dissenters Birth Registry, 1824-1837No: 11255 - dated the 24 day of June 1837
This is to certify and declare that Charles th son of Bernard Swinstead of Leighton Buzzard in the county of Bedford ? Maker and Sarah his wife (who was the daughter of Richard Purser of Leighton Buzzard in the county of Bedford ? ) was born at the house of the said Bernard Swinstead in Leighton Buzzard in the county of Bedford on the twenty fifth day of July 1815 - signed by Bernard Swinstead & Sarah Swinstead - the parents mentioned above.
We certify and declare that we were present at the Birth of the Child above mentioned; and that such birth took place at the time and place aforesaid - Mary Purser of Leighton - Granmother (sic) of the child.
Received, filed and registered, according to the custom in use among Protestant Dissenters, at the registry of Births kept at Dr William's Library, Red Cross Street, Cripplegate, London this 30 day of June 1837 by me Richard Logan? Register.
