In the name of God, Amen. September 16, 1726. I, ISAAC HEDGES, of thetown of East Hampton, in Suffolk County, being in perfect mind. I leaveto my wife 1/3 of all movables and real estate, and the privilege to livein my house with my son, Isaac or Gideon, which ever she pleases. And mytwo sons shall equally share in allowing her an honorable maintenanceduring her widowhood. I leave to my two youngest sons, Henry and David,three tracts of land, viz.: That tract of land which I had of StephenHand, lying in Two mile Hollow. And that tract that I had of RichardShaw, lying near Hook Pond. And the tract I had of John Squire, in theNorth west plains. And my sons, Isaac and Gideon, shall pay to my twoyounger sons, œ200, when of age. I leave to my son Isaac, my now dwellinghouse and half the barns and shop, and 1/2 my share in the horse mill,and 1/2 of my lands not given away. I leave to my son Gideon, the housethat my son Isaac now dwells in, and one half of the barn, shop, andhorse mill, and one half of all other lands not given away, and 1/2 of myshare of Montauk and Commonage.
