Individual Details
Francis ROUNTREE Sr.
(Abt 1649 - 30 Sep 1730)
Francis Rountree born c 1649 emigrated to Nansemond County, Virginia, whereas William Roundtree born c 1700 lived in New Kent County, Virginia. In "Link to Parents" note below, the will of Francis Rountree written in 1730 bequeathed land to his son William Rountree. The land was near "Drinking Spring Rock" and the only thing close I can find in or around New Kent County and Nansemond to Chowan Counties is a place called Drinking Spring located at the south end or just south of New Kent County, Virginia. Thus I believe William's father was Francis Rountree who was the son of Francis Rountree and Sarah Coleman.
-Please let me know if you agree with this line of reasoning, as I will soon disconnect William from his grandfather Francis and connect him to his father Francis Rountree.
