Individual Details
Anna WINSLOW
(1743 - 28 Oct 1814)
Benjamin and Anna Maxwell lived in Bedford until about 1775, when they
moved to Franklin Co., MA, to the part of Charlemont that was later set off
as Heath, MA. He served in the French & Indian War in Major Roger's
Rangers, and was commissioned a Lieutenant in the Revolutionary War.
According to the vital records of Heath, MA, Anna Winslow was born in
Boston in 1743, an entry which was made in later handwriting, so it could
be misleading. Her birth was not recorded in the vital records in Boston,
and I can't place her in the family of any of the descendants of John and
Mary (Chilton) Winslow, of Boston yet, but I know of no other Winslows who
were living around Boston during the 1740s.
(****Joshua and Eliza Winslow had a daughter Ann born 1/20/1734 in Boston. Anna (Winslow) Maxwell died in Heath, MA, on 28 Oct. 1814 in Heath, aged
71 or in her 71st year.
The names they gave their children were: Sarah,
Mary, Anna, Martha, Benjamin, Olive, William, Sylvanus, Winslow, Alexander
Park, and Frazier Maxwell.
