Will
I Joseph York of Wells county in the state of Indiana do make and publish this my last will & testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time heretofore made. First I direct that my body be decently interred and that my funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life and as to such worldly estate as it has pleased God to interest me with I dispose of the same in the following manner to wit: I direct first that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as possible out of the first moneys that shall come to your hand from any portion of my estate. I also direct that the hole (sic) of my household furniture & personal property shall be & remain the absolute property of my youngest daughter RACHEL JANE YORK if she shall be living at the time of my decease but if she shal (sic) not survive me, then that the same shall be given to the heirs who are living share & share alike. I also give and bequeath to my two sons the following trait of land the North part of the South West fraction of the North East fractional quarter of section number nineteen (19) in the township number (25) North of Range number eleven (11) East containing one hundred acres said land lying & being in the county of Wells & state of Indiana the said land to be divided as follows: My son JOSHUA YORK at my decease is to receive forty five acres off of the south end of the aforesaid land at my decease the aforesaid sons is to receive the aforesaid number of acres with all the rights privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging and I further declare & direct that EACH OF THE REMAINING HEIRS AT MY DECEASE SHALL RECEIVE THE SUM OF TWO DOLLARS IN LIEU OF THEIR SHARES of the aforesaid described land & personal property I also direct that the Wholl (sic) of my household furniture & personal property shall be & remain the absolute of my beloved wife if she shall be living at the time of my decease but if she shal (sic) not survive me then that the same shall be given absolutely to my youngest daughter Rachel Jane York if living at my decease & if not to the remaining heirs in equal shares.And I hereby make & ordain my worthy and esteemed friends JOSEPH H YORK & Joshua York executors of this my last will and testament.
