Sir William Seymour; attended The Black Prince (Edward, son of Edward III] to Gascony c1359 in opening phase of the Hundred Years War; married Margaret, daughter and heiress of Simon de Brockbury, of Herefs, by Joan, sister and heiress of Sir Peter de la Mare, and dvm 25 Aug 1391. Note: William's son Roger, on the death of William's mother became 4th Baron Beauchamp, of Hatch.

This Sir William Seymour, knighted, resided for the most part at Undy. He is mentioned, in 1362, as attending the Prince of Wales to his government of Gascony, after first obtaining the King's letter of protection dated from Bamberg on February 8 of that year. He married Margaret, daughter of Simon de Brockburn and died in 1390, leaving a son Roger, born in 1366. [Annals of the Seymours pp14-15]
