Thomas John TINSLEY II

(1638 - 22 Feb 1716)

Inherited his father's (Thomas Tinsley I) estate and acquired other large parcels of land. Dealt extensively in tobacco and land. Around 1700 he received a land grant of 2,400 acres for bringing 48 English immigrants to Jamestown. In 1704 he acquired another 1,000 acres in Essex County, VA.
