Note7 Dec 1882Now a widower, Patrick was admitted to the Destitute Asylum on 7 Dec 1882. Admission notes read "Suffering from senile decay unanle to work. Destitute. This man has been receiving govt releif in the district of Kondoparinga but is now too feeble to help himself. He has been living alone in a small hut." He was discharged on 21 Dec 1882 presumably into the care of his daughter Catherine with whom he was living when he died in 1890
