Frederick "Americanized" his middle name, "Mauritz", to "Morris", which he got from Robert Morris, one of the signers (?) of the Declaration of Independence. It was written on the wall of the immigration office (Ellis Island?).

Death
Fred slipped on the ice, suffering an internal rupture, and he bled to death, according to my uncle, Everett Anderson. The death records at the cemetery say he was 54 years, 7 months, 16 days old at his death.Burial
