George is listed as single. He may have been in his first divorce with Freda Dunn. An 1940 enumeration of Freda and son David Dunn Fonder has not been found.Military

Ruth had no children with George.Divorce
Ruth divorced George before he died. Even though George's gravestone has the word "husband" inscribed, he was no longer married to Ruth. George's death certificate indicates that he was still married.Death
George's mother Emma and son George were witnesses to the crash. The racetrack paid out big. Ruth and George were divorced by then, but George had not bothered to update his information, so Ruth inherited everything. Apparently George was in some movie with Clark Gable and Ruth used to talk of meeting him.Death
