Residence (family)
An inspection of the "1910 Philadelphia Atlas" by G. W. Bromley at www.philageohistory.org shows a single home with two outbuildings on the northeast side of East Gorgas Lane (a.k.a. Gorgas Street), northeast of its intersection with Ardleigh Street (formerly Sullivan Street), in the East Mount Airy area of Philadelphia. An inspection of Google Earth and Bing maps shows that the old farm house or one of its stone outbuildings still exists. Additionally, there are now six duplex dwellings at the location. These six duplexes were probably built after 1962 since the 1962 Philadelphia Land Use Map provided at www.philadelphiageohistory.org does not depict a row of 12 lots for 6 duplexes. The original home (allegedly #427 East Gorgas Lane) may no longer exist.Endnotes
