Johannes C.L. Broschart inherited Obermühle from his uncle Johannes Laninger in 1800. His uncle died childless, and the next heir was his nephew Johannes C. L., oldest son of his uncle's deceased sister Anna Catharina Laninger. After Johannes C. L. died, operation of the mill was continued by his son Johann Philipp Broschard. The mill was sold at auction in 1826, and the proceeds were divided equally between the heir's children. John Adam Huechert/Heigert, husband of Maria Elisabetha Broschard (one of Johannes' children), then assumed operation of the mill.Endnotes
1. E-mail from Heide Lange to Katherine Bigelow dated approximately 16 November 2004. The e-mail included information compiled from Dr. Berthold Budell's book entitled: "Register zu den Kirchenbüchern der Katholischen Pfarrei Schallodenbach: 1683-1798" ["Church Book Registers of the Catholic Parish in Schallodenbach: 1683-1798"] and entered into her own genealogy software. Lange used many of the same abbreviations and symbols used in Budell's work. However, there are known errors when Lange's compilation is compared to the original Budell source document. Additionally, for baptisms, Lange substituted the symbol " ~ " for Budell's symbol " ° ". Dr. Berthold Budell apparently used the following sources: Kirchenbuch [church book] - Schallodenbach Katholische Kirche Kirchenbuch - Meisenheim Katholische Kirche Kirchenbuch - Obermoschel Katholische Kirche Kathy Bigelow forwarded the contents of the e-mailr in an e-mail to Hollis F. Veley III dated 3 January 2010..
