Military
Ralph served as a private Company H 10th Infantry of the Ohio National Guard to 15 September 1917. Then he served in Company D of the 134th Machine Gun Battalion from 26 September 1917 to 26 February 1918. Then Ralph served in Company D of the 136th Machine Gun Battalion until 3 November 1918. He participated in the Ypres-Lys Campaign (also known as the 2nd Battle of the Lys) and in the Meuse-Argonne Offensive as a member of the American Expeditionary Forces from 22 June 1918 to 3 November 1918. Ralph died of wounds on 3 November 1918. His mother, Mrs. Ella Broschardt, of 995 McClelland Ave., Columbus, Ohio was notified. World War I ended on 11 November 1918.Death
