Jack retired as a chief communications technician in October 1970. He received five Good Conduct Medals and two Navy Unit Commendation RibbonsGraduation
Jack served as class president for several years.Miscellaneous
Jack was a volunteer with the Lions Club of Sunbury where he served as both the club secretary for several years and one term as the club president, and the Shamokin Dam Lions Club where he served as secretary. He was honored with the Melvin Jones Fellow award from the Lions Club International for his dedication and commitment. He participated in the Golden Notes choir at the Sunbury Senior Action Center, and was a member of the American Legion Post 25 and the VFW Post 6631, both of Selinsgrove, and the U.S. Navy Cryptogogical Association.Endnotes
